Serving Indiana Communities Since 1918
In 1918, the firm presently known as Allen Wellman McNew, LLP, was founded by sole practitioner Waldo C. Ging (1892-1971). Since then, we have expanded our staff and our representation to assist individuals and businesses throughout Indiana with complex legal concerns. From situations requiring litigation to estate planning and probate to business transactions, we use our combined knowledge and experience to work for the best possible outcomes on behalf of our clients.
About Our Firm
Waldo Ging continued to practice on his own for more than 30 years before he was joined by now-retired partner Stephen A. Free and lawyer James L. Brand (1938-1996) in 1965. In our years of continuous operation, we have expanded from a local firm serving the needs of rural communities to a regionally recognized law firm representing clients statewide.
Although our firm has experienced ongoing change and growth, our commitment to providing detailed and aggressive legal services has not changed. We are regionally recognized for our dedication, trial experience and personalized service.
In 1957, partners Ging and Free purchased our main office location at Five Courthouse Plaza in downtown Greenfield. Today, our firm also maintains three branch offices in Indianapolis, New Palestine, and Richmond. We provide legal representation to clients across the state, and we pride ourselves on the ability to provide a broad spectrum of high-caliber legal services rarely found outside major cities.
